Sophie Rose

"I finished Home Again, With You ridiculously quickly. I read it when my baby was asleep, I read it when eating, walking my dog and in one instance, showering (I don't recommend it, safety hazard, but you may not be able to help yourself either). It made me laugh more times than I can count (a certain conversation concerning serial killers near the end was a particular highlight) and it brought tears to my eyes on more than one occassion.

Here's a confession - I'm not usually a big reader of romance as I tend to lose interest rather quickly. However... Home Again, With You enchanted me from the very first chapter with its irresistably lovable and relatable characters. It made me feel cosy and I absolutely loved how it was essentially a kind tale about two kind people rediscovering each other.

The prose itself is a whole treat in and of itself. It flows smoothly and feels rich without being too flowery. It compliments the narrative beautifully and immerses the reader in the story with ease. By the time I finished the novel, Charlie and Noah felt like my old friends and having been invited to share their journey was a privilege.

Reading Home Again, With You truly felt like a lovely cup of tea on a cold and rainy afternoon - comforting, warm and so full of kindness. I can see this becoming a new favourite I'll pick up whenever I need to lift my mood. Never in a million years would I guess this was the author's first novel. I'm very impressed and I can't wait to see what else Sophie Rose has in store for us."
